About Mollie

I began my career in community mental health. I worked closely with children and families during times of crisis, leading a stabilization program and providing in-home therapy and caregiver support. Those years deeply shaped how I understand trauma, attachment, parenting, adoption, and the many transitions families move through.

Today, I work with adults, children and families navigating relationship concerns, communication challenges, divorce, co-parenting, adjusting to being new parents, and other life transitions.

Hey there!
I'm Mollie.
Nice to meet you.

I’m Mollie Yocum, a licensed clinical social worker serving individuals, couples, children, and families throughout Pacifica and the greater Bay Area. I studied psychology and philosophy at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and later completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Our sessions are structured but never rigid. There is room for reflection, honesty, and even moments of humor. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, attachment-focused work, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), tailoring each session to what feels most helpful and meaningful for you.

I believe:

Therapy works best when it feels steady, respectful, supportive, and collaborative. Each person brings a unique story shaped by family, culture, community, and life experience, and I take the time to look at that full picture.

At Pacifica Mental Health, growth begins with feeling safe and understood. Therapy is not about judgment or quick solutions. It’s about building insight, strengthening connection, and developing practical tools that support lasting change.

Whether working through trauma, navigating parenting challenges, or strengthening relationships, progress happens step by step, at a pace that feels right for you.
